Well, howdy, curious clicker! Welcome to the 5th round of charity : water fundraising.
My 29th birthday is around the corner, and we're continuing this most excellent tradition of helping our thirsty buds around the world. I don't usually ask for presents, but I do love me a nice, cold, frothy beer. *insert Homer Simpson drooly noise here*
Instead of sharing a celebratory birthday brew or two with me, donate what a beer (or more, if you're trying to get me drunk on joy) would cost you towards this charity : water campaign! This year, I'd like to celebrate hitting 29 by raising $890, which'll bring sustainable water solutions to 29 people.
Why water? It's simple. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. Beyond simply endangering lives, not having access to clean water means a direct impact on education and income - especially for women and kids. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.
But seriously, round five!? Why do I keep doing charity : water year after year? Because 100% of the money donated will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we've helped. It's SO. FREAKIN'. AWESOME! Y'all have already raised over $3500 in past campaigns, which is rad beyond words. In fact, 5 years ago, the statistic of childhood deaths was at 2,200 per day, and every year, that number gets lower.
Privlidged to have you as a friend. ❤️🙏🏻
